These Scenes require the performers to exercise their own imaginations. Mime, the language of gesture, is an older and more basic one than that of either words or music. While loving can be fun as well as tender and romantic. The loneliness of a Soliloquy rarely suggests fun, but rather the depths of personal feeling. The last movement is a folk story in bright colours: the rogue and the priest weave a laugh out loud tale... but that again is for the players' imagination. It should be clear who wins out !
