'Procession' was premièred at the Royal Albert Hall Gala Concert in October 1987, to immediate success. It fits together music from two separate parts of Act 2 of Lohengrin into a single stretch. That it has become the most used finale in modern brass band history, is beyond any doubt, with only the March from the Pines of Rome mounting any real challenge.... although perhaps latterly 'Entry of the Gods into Valhalla' shows every sign of making a run on the post.

Brass Band World's TOP CHOICE as a Finale, most played, most enjoyed by audiences and players alike. Again Grades 2 and 3 because it is hard... but everyone wants to play it!
